General Data Taps Jeffrey Kenny for Vice President of Business Development


CINCINNATI – August 20, 2009 – General Data Company, Inc. (www.general-data.com) welcomes Jeffrey Kenny to its team in the new position of Vice President of Business Development.

Kenny’s position will include exploring and developing new corporate-wide business opportunities for General Data. He will also focus on expanding General Data’s reseller channels and increasing growth for the company’s diverse products and business lines.

“My goal is to help General Data continue to find new areas for profitable growth,” said Kenny. “This is a company that doesn’t stand still. We have unique products, talented people, we are innovative and we are not ‘hunkering down’ in this economy. General Data is making great moves in product development and it’s exciting to be part of it.”

Kenny has over 20 years of leadership experience in various roles for manufacturing and engineering companies. He recently served as Executive Vice President of Business Development at ASI Financial Engineering, Inc. and Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at TrakTec.  He has also held simultaneous roles as both Vice President of Sales for Miami Systems Corporation and President of Bertek Systems.  Jeff has also served as President of Standard Register’s Document and Label Solutions Business Unit. He also held positions as Chief Operating Officer at WS Packaging, General Manager of Avery Dennison’s Prime Label Division, and Industrial Engineering Supervisor at Alcoa.

“Jeff has a very strong, broad background in technical manufacturing, management, sales and marketing. He will be a very valuable corporate resource as we continue to grow,” said General Data Founder and President Peter Wenzel.

Kenny grew up in Pittsburgh, but has been in the Cincinnati area since 1996. He lives with his wife and five children in Lebanon. He plays racquetball regularly, volunteers with Presentation Ministries, and  spends his free time with his family.
