General Data Partners with Leading Provider of Mobile Application Software


General Data will provide customers with customized mobility applications
that extend their enterprise data beyond the four walls

CINCINNATI – April 7, 2008 – General Data Company, Inc. (www.general-data.com) has entered into a partnership with MobileFrame LLC, a leader in enterprise mobility software, that will put real-time, mobile access to critical data in the palms of customers’ hands.

Based in San Jose, California, MobileFrame will provide General Data with their enterprise-class mobility application software platform that enables companies to exchange and update customer data at mobile locations in real time via PDAs and other handheld computers in almost any environment.  As a business partner with leading handheld computer suppliers, including Motorola, Intermec and Honeywell, General Data will use this platform to design, develop, and deploy complete enterprise mobility application solutions for its customers, including hardware, software, voice and data services, networking and support.

Typical enterprise mobility applications include field service, route accounting, direct store delivery and field sales.  According to the Gartner Group, the enterprise mobility market is expected to grow dramatically over the next few years and “the number of mobile applications deployed by enterprises to their employees will continue to grow by 30% per year through 2011.”*
