For hospitals that utilize a large number of wristbands, want more flexibility and control over wristband data, layout and printing, Director is the best solution.
Director is an event-driven data and print management tool designed for facilities that print a high volume of wristbands or utilize a number of wristband printers across their network. Director provides users and IT administrators complete control over all aspects of patient wristband design and printing. Director enables you to access data from any HL7 compliant system, format the data, and send it to multiple printers located anywhere in your facility.
Director eliminates the need to modify, upgrade or purchase additional modules to you existing ADT or HIS in order to print thermal barcode patient wristbands.
It also allows you to simplify HL7 integration, and can utilize data from different HL7-compliant systems with the hospital for wristband printing.
Design wristband layouts to your needs: Director gives you full control over the design and layout of your patient wristband, including data field mapping, TrueType fonts, and two-dimensional barcodes. Designs can be modified quickly and easily.
Have full control of barcodes: You choose what data fields or strings are mapped to either linear or 2D barcodes, and where they print on the wristband.
Direct printing to a number of printers: Director can print to any Windows-based thermal or laser printer located anywhere in you facility, including admissions or at nurses stations.
Monitor and control print functions via web interface: IT has complete centralized management of wristband printing, including print queuing, redirecting, reprinting, event and error messaging, and print job histories.
Keep running when the system is down: The offline wristband generation capabilities enable admitting stations to continue to enter patient data and print patient wristbands, even when the IT system is down. Using a customizable interface, data is stored in a temporary database, then automatically uploaded when the system is back online
