The General Data Company is currently looking for a full time Customer Support Specialist in our Service Department.

Job Duties include:

  • Answering the phone for incoming service requests and creating a task in Company ERP system
  • Monitor emails for service requests and creating a task in Company ERP system
  • Dispatching new tasks to field technicians or third party service providers
  • Support questions from customers, creating or updating the task in Company ERP system
  • Quoting for T&M parts, service and travel
  • Monitor and follow up on parts ordered and dispatch technician for task completion
  • Follow up with tasks daily through closure
  • Complete tasks and ensure all data is included for Invoicing and Billing once tasks are completed
  • Ensure customer satisfaction on each task
  • Responsible for updating and sending out Call Central Report, a daily Excel spreadsheet of all current open service tasks


  • Detail Oriented
  • At least 1+ years of Customer Service experience
  • Experience with multiline telephones, online ordering systems, and personal computers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products a must
  • Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Has a pleasant, patient and friendly attitude
  • Strong decision making and analytical abilities
  • Strong detail orientation and communication/listening skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed
  • Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality
