Reports To: VP of Manufacturing
Job Summary:
The Plant Manager is responsible for all operations at the Atlanta multi-shift facility with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, safety, and other production-related activities.
Essential Duties and Functions:
• Direct and manage operations for production, maintenance, safety, and shipping/receiving.
• Coordinate production activities through the planning and process control to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective
manner.
• Develop and control continuous improvement methodologies including Six Sigma, Lean and ISO.
• Implement cost effective systems of control over operating expenditures, manpower, and wages.
• Manage capital asset maintenance.
• Establish and monitor overall plant performance for safety, production, and quality standards.
• Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
• Maintain existing equipment; replace and or make adjustments to plant and equipment when necessary.
• Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
• Interpret and administer company policies.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
• Incorporate plant floor organization and cleanliness among plant personnel.
• Provide direction, development, and leadership to production supervisors.
• Manage plant personnel, of approximately 50 employees, in multi department facility including hiring, training and performance evaluations.
• All other duties assigned by Management.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
• Several years plant/general management experience in a label converting environment. Degree is a plus. Radius ERP experience a major PLUS.
• Proven safety record with experience implementing Company, OSHA and WC regulations.
• Extensive flexographic label printing management experience is required. HP Indigo, ETI Cohesio, & Shrink Sleeve experience a plus.
• Experience with GMP, Six Sigma, Lean and ISO practices and procedures.
• Printer/flexo/digital print/Coater machine operating skills desired.
Expected Skills and Behaviors:
• Proven analytical, communication and mechanical skills.
• Good organizational, planning and leadership abilities.
• Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use of Microsoft Office Products to analyze data and trends. Radius converting ERP
experience desired.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact and communicate with customers and other General Data team members.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in an environment with competing priorities.
• Ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management.
• Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean,
ISO, etc. to drive improvement.
Travel: Travel requirements are very limited. Some out-of-the-area and occasional overnight travel may be expected.

Expected Salary: Range is $100k+ (depending on qualifications)
