General Data Company is looking for a Purchasing Clerk, which will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing and placement of purchase orders with vendors, product pricing updates and follow-up.  

Responsibilities:

•    Prepare purchase orders based on sales orders, inventory stock requirements and miscellaneous requisition requests     
•    Complete and timely process all purchase orders including but not limited to entering PO into the system, forward to the vendor and compare vendor acknowledgments to the order
•    Provide follow-up on orders as needed – delivery dates, quantities shipped, prices charged, etc. 
•    Maintain current product pricing in the system as required
•    Maintain good relations with vendors 
•    Act as an information source for internal questions concerning purchased items
•    Assist with or coordinate special projects as required

Qualifications:

•    High School Diploma required (Associates degree in Accounting or Finance preferred)
•    4+ years business experience 
•    Knowledge of purchasing procedures a plus
•    Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
•    Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
•    Experience with Acumatica software a plus
•    Strong computer skills
•    Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
•    Be detail-oriented
