Building Maintenance

General Data is currently searching for a Building Maintenance Technician to provide ongoing maintenance and repair of General Data properties.

Duties include:

• Complete Preventative Maintenance as assigned
• Regular inspection of property and equipment for compliance with safety regulations
• Responsible for general building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, scheduled maintenance, fire system tests and inspections, carpentry, patching and painting, furniture systems (moves and break down), clean-ups and other emergencies
• Communicate with facilities management about any work that requires outside expert assistance
• Ability to drive Company Box 26’ Truck and act as a back-up to warehouse transfers and afternoon truck run
• Responsible for buildings landscaping, trimming and weed control
• Responsible for buildings window cleaning
• Must monitor Solar panels weekly

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of building maintenance preferred
• Knowledge of maintenance practices and repair methods
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Experience using forklift, scissor lift, and genie boom lift helpful (will train if needed)
• Ability to work evening and weekends when needed
• Valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record required
